3CX Technical Trainings – Save the Date

3CX will be back in country in November to deliver Intermediate and Advanced Technical Training – a prerequisite for attending these trainings is having your Basic Certification. You can prepare for the 3CX Basic Certification online at the 3CX Academy here. The key dates to put in your diary now are Monday 5th & Tuesday 6th November for Christchurch training at the DoubleTree by Hilton and Thursday 8th and Friday 9th November in Auckland at the Grand Millennium. More information around registration will follow very soon to all of our 3CX partners.

3CX 15.5 – Service Pack 6 BETA

3CX have announced BETA Service Pack 6 for their version 15.5 software – please note this is a BETA service pack and should not be installed or used for production use but use on a test system. Great new features are coming such as a new web based softphone that uses WebRTC, faster smartphone apps with improved PUSH functionality, the addition for support of Grandstream FXS and FXO Gateways and many more features. Read the full information about all of the enhancements on the 3CX blog here.

VoIP Updates – In Person or at an Event

July was a very busy month with our team out and about meeting with partners in person and August continues the same way. These conversations are so valuable for both parties and we are pleased that we have the opportunity to get through the regions and engage with you all. On the 15th August we hosted a Technology Briefing Breakfast in Palmerston North which was well attended. Our very own Matt Carey updated everyone on our VoIP solutions with the key focus on 3CX and Grandstream. We have another Technology Briefing coming up in Nelson on the 28th August and are planning further events so keep an eye out for your invitation.

Grandstream launches IPVT10 Enterprise Video Conferencing Server

The IPVT10 is an on-premise server designed to support the collaboration needs of enterprise organisations for video conferencing. The ability to have up to 300 participants and 120 video feeds per session along with up to 10 simultaneous sessions shows the scalability of this device. The unit ships with a 60-day demo license of the software (all videos will have a watermark on them), there are 3 licensing options available for customers – 49-way MCU and 100 attendees, 98-way MCU and 200 attendees and 120-way MCU and 300 attendees. For more information on this new video conferencing option from Grandstream contact our sales team.

3CX Register your own Leads

3CX have now made it possible for reseller partners to register your own leads and they have taken away the waiting for confirmation e-mails as you’ll have access to the license key straight away. This is available from within your reseller portal – you’ll now see a “Leads” option on the menu and select “Register a lead” – you complete the data which is the same as the Try Form on the 3CX website but then no e-mail is sent to the customer for sign up, you will be redirected to the Welcome Page and will see the key and deployment options straight away, the license key & lead are automatically assigned to you ready for you to set up the trial for your customer.
