2020 is almost a wrap

 

2020 has been a year like no other – with a global pandemic that we hadn’t seen coming. VoIP technology has been much sought after, as people develop a new “normal”. We had enforced periods of Work from Home (WFH). Even though NZ is considered “safe”, many people still choose to WFH some or all of the time. VoIP technology has kept us all connected and helped us adapt to a new way of business. We’ve delivered remote 3CX Technical Training, and regular updates via our “Bite Size” webinar series. What will 2021 have in store? We know that VoIP technology will be an important solution for 2021 and look forward to seeing what our vendor partners release in the new year.

 

Christmas shutdown planning

 

It is important to plan ahead for 3CX licenses that expire around the holiday period. Soft Solutions will be closed from the end of day, on Wednesday 23rd December. We will re-open on Tuesday 5th January. Please ensure you check your open quotes and action them ahead of time, to ensure no disruption to your customers over the festive season. If you’d like a quote issued for upcoming renewals earlier, reach out to our sales team.

 

3CX scoops Technology Excellence Award

 

3CX nabs PC Pro Excellence Award for Business Software of the Year 2020. PC Pro is the UK’s biggest selling monthly IT magazine, and hase been running their Technology Excellence Awards for 23 years. 2020 has definitely presented many challenges. 3CX offered solutions to help ease the pain of lockdowns. It provided businesses with a free, easy to implement communications system to help adapt to remote working. The ease of deployment and flexibility helped 3CX nab the title of Business Software of the year. Read more here.

 

3CX version 16 – updates

 

Update 7 has released overnight. The added integration with Facebook messenger, texts (where SMS is supported by the SIP provider) along with more, brings the collaboration even more tightly in to 3CX. For the full details of this new release visit the announcement here. The new iOS and Android apps have also launched and are fully compatible with update 7. The most anticipated new feature is the Facebook messenger integration – we can’t wait to try it out ourselves!
