3CX 15.5 Alpha Released
3CX have released a preview of 3CX Phone System v15.5. New features include a web based client for call control, the Hotel module for Pro licensees, and support for Fax over the G711 codec. You can read more about this here. Note that this edition should be used for testing only and not be installed in a live environment.
Grandstream Announce the GDS3710 HD Video Door Phone
The GDS3710 is a HD Video Door System that tracks, manages and records access to any physical building while also offering powerful integration with Grandstream solutions and other security products.
This unit offers an ultra-wide 180-degree video viewing angle for wall-to-wall video coverage, has a built-in RFID chip reader for secure keyless entry and includes a built-in microphone and speaker to support intercom functionality. The GDS 3710 supports seamless integration with Grandstream’s IP phones, IP Video Phones and Grandstream Wave mobile app for audio/video intercom and letting in visitors with a single press/touch. It is fully interoperable with Grandstream’s GVR355x series of NVRs (Network Video Recorders) for real time high resolution (1080p) video recording and storage.
The GDS3710 retails for $656 ex GST, with stock due in May. You can download the datasheet here.
3CX update their iOS client
3CX have just added some new features to the iOS client, including IPv6, push support for chat messages, and queue prefixes are now displayed if your extension is part of a queue. Note that you require version 15 for these capabilities to be active. You can read more on the changes on the 3CX Blog.
Grandstream Release New Firmware for DP720/DP750
With the firmware update 1.0.3.23 that is now available, it is now possible to upload custom ringtones to these units. With customised ringtones, you are able to increase the volume of the files uploaded if required. Documentation on this can be found at here.
Updated Grandstream (GDS3710) Templates for 3CX
The new batch of 3CX templates for Grandstream devices include support for the GXP17xx series phones as well as the GDS3710 door phone. These can be downloaded by clicking here
