3CX v15.5 SP3 officially released
3CX has released v15.5 SP3 of its popular PBX software that includes new functionality and bug fixes. This exciting release adds full official support between 3CX and Grandstream phones with official firmware and built in provisioning templates, Zoho CRM support, conference call and interface improvements and preparation for supporting IPv6. This update is available to all existing customers with active maintenance and is a simple update from the 3CX management console. Want to know more? Ghost in the phone shell?
Phones ringing randomly? With the new interop between 3CX and Grandstream a new firmware was tested and developed to ensure the systems work well together. The new Grandstream firmware is available from the list of official firmwares on the 3CX website. This new support enables full CTI and support for CSTA with the 3CX web client which enables remarkable functionality. Due to the nature of how CSTA works, 3CX v15.5 SP3 sends CSTA notifications to phones to enable support with the 3CX webclient. Users using an older out of date Grandstream firmware will note ghost calls from these notifications to the phones after updating to SP3, and need to update their phone firmware to the official release. Upgrading to the latest firmware is simple and easy and documented for the Grandstream GXP16xx seriesGXP17xx series and the popular GXP21xx series of phones. For any questions around this, please touch base with our VoIP team.
