GraphOn’s GO-Global is a solution for letting users access legacy Windows applications over the internet… Just install GO-Global on the machine where the Windows app lives, and access is possible across the LAN or internet. With GO-Global, users access Windows applications the same way they access websites and web applications: by clicking a link. When a user clicks a link to a Windows application that has been published via GO-Global, the application opens exactly as specified. It is a flexible solution that supports just one user wanting to remotely access MYOB, or hundreds of users connecting to hosted ERP.

As the agent for GraphOn in Australia and New Zealand, we have seen the success of the GO-Global solution for many businesses. Due to this, we are pleased to announce that version 6 of GO-Global has been released, bringing new functionality to the way you remotely access Windows applications.

So, what new features can you expect from Version 6?

GO-Global Web App – A zero-install client that uses HTML5 to allow users to run Windows applications from popular web browsers on Windows, Mac, and Linux computers. So, nothing needs to be installed to connect from a browser, but users who also install the latest GO-Global client to their computer will have the benefit of running GO-Global from their browser while also being able to access local drives and printers.

Mobile Sense – This makes Windows applications accessed from mobile devices behave more like mobile apps. For example, with Mobile Sense, the application window that has the focus is automatically sized and positioned to fit the screen of the user’s device, and the keyboard automatically opens when a Windows application is able to receive text input. Administrators can also now create custom toolbar buttons and menus that appear at the bottom of the GO-Global App when a Windows application is accessed from a mobile device.

Windows Compatibility Assurance – This gives administrators the option to automatically defer installation of Windows Updates until GraphOn has verified that the updates are compatible with GO-Global, protecting you from any downtime.

With GO-Global 6 being released in late 2018, it has already been tested by multiple users around the world, to the extent that it is now at version 6.01
