Design is a very subjective thing – and customers love choice so they can know they have made a decision for themselves, rather than just taking the only option available. So it is on that note that Grandstream have created a new look for the latest model in their Executive IP phone range, the GXP 2170.

Similar to the GXP1630 released earlier in the year, the smooth and shiny glass top-half on the GXP2170 is a sharp contrast to the silvered finish of Grandstream’s other executive phones, the GXP2140 and GXP2160.

Like those other models, the new 2170 has built-in Bluetooth and support for Plantronics wireless headsets. It also has 48 digital, on-screen speed dial/BLF keys plus the option to add more BLFs with up to four of the GXP2200EXT expansion module strapped on.

Price-wise the GXP2170 will come in just above the GXP2160 – RRP $259.49 plus GST as against $235.90 plus GST.

As all Grandstream IP phones do, the GXP2170 features state-of-the-art security encryption technology (SRTP and TLS). The GXP2170 supports a variety of automated provisioning options, including zero-configuration with Grandstream’s UCM series IP PBXs, encrypted XML files and TR-069, to make mass deployment extremely easy.

This release just missed our last Grandstream order for 2015, but the new GXP2170 is expected into stock by February 2016.
