Established in 2002, Bluebeam Inc was built from the ground up and has been growing consistently since one of biggest design and engineering firms, AECOM, started using their software in 2003.
Soft Solutions brought Bluebeam to the New Zealand market in 2012 when there wasn’t a software available that fulfilled the needs of companies reaching out to us for moving CAD files to PDF documents.
Companies were wanting to go digital but with the current software available on the market they were editing in CAD, printing it out and then editing it again in CAD after changes. Bluebeam makes it easier by having tools within its PDF software to edit directly on the PDF file, cutting down the amount of paper used and staying digital. The powerful built in mark ups list tracks changes and decisions made to keep projects on track and everyone accountable.
With the lack of software fulfilling companies needs in this space and the significant increase of construction happening around the country, for example due to the Christchurch earthquake and the national housing crisis Bluebeam was a natural fit for customers wanting to move to a digital workflow.
Bluebeam Revu delivers an award-winning PDF creation tool focusing on editing, mark up and collaboration to enhance the efficiency of design and construction projects. A unique feature of Bluebeam Revu is Bluebeam Studio, a centralised cloud-based collaboration and storage space for all documents involved with each project. This allows for all partners to access and edit files at the same time no matter where they are or which time zone they are in, this is something that no other AEC software has offered before!
Due to New Zealand growing so quickly there has been high demand for a new software and Soft Solutions believed it was the perfect fit for the New Zealand AEC industry. We have had a 62% sales growth year on year recently and actively promote Bluebeam as an effective solution to meet the needs of customers.
