Corel Announces CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5
Corel has announced a new version of their renowned CorelDRAW Graphics Suite - it has been over 18 months since X4 was launched - and the first physical stocks of X5 are due 10 April. Limits of Exchange 2010 Archiving capabilities

CompactFlash Specification Revision 5.0 Released
The CompactFlash Association has released a new CF5.0 specifications for CompactFlash Memory Cards. The main feature is the use of 48-bit Addressing which means an increase of capacity points beyond current limitation of 137GB (up to 144PB) & more efficient data transfer (32MB per transfer versus 128KB per transfer). With sensor sizes increasing and an increasing number of people choosing to shoot RAW-format images over lossy compression formats like JPEG, that's a feature which is going to come in handy. Additional features of the new standard include TRIM-like performance tuning, quality of service guarantees for streaming video data, and a new connector which the Association claims offers "better card design." There are currently no CF Card manufacturers that use the new standard but the future proofing in CF5.0 means that we may be using CF Cards for some time yet.
